Abdul Aziz Mohibbi, was appointed as chancellor of Bamyan University by the Ministry of Higher Education of Afghanistan in August 2019.

He received his Ph.D. degree in Agriculture and Environmental Engineering from Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology. He got his master’s degree in Natural Resources Management from The School of Environment, Resources, and Development, Asian Institute of Technology. He has ten years of teaching experience at the Faculty of Agriculture, Kabul University.

Furthermore, he worked for more than six years in international and national organizations such as the United Nations Environment Programme and Afghan Management Marketing Consultancy. He also worked as an advisor for the Afghanistan Parliament in the commission of Natural Resources and Environment and as a senior advisor with The National Environmental Protection Agency of Afghanistan.
