The Aquaculture and Aquatic Resources Management (AARM) Program under the School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD) of AIT has launched a new internship program for students to get hands-on experience with sustainable Asian Aquaculture technologies. The duration of the program ranges from two weeks to six months and is a good blend of theoretical information, practical learning from the field, and farm visits to practicing Aquaculture facilities in Thailand.

Six students from Shanghai Ocean University (SHOU), China have just completed the three-month internship from 17 April to 16 July 2019. This is a follow up of the MoU that was signed between AIT and SHOU on closer collaboration in Aquaculture and allied research areas.

Another batch of sixteen students from Huazhong Agricultural University (HAU), Wuhan, China are completing their two-weeks Aquaculture-internship program from 7 – 21 July 2019. The program is designed to provide the students with the concepts of sustainable Aquaculture and the enabling technologies that have been successfully implemented in Thailand as a model for the rest of the world. “
