DPMM Students have the opportunity in attending a “DRC International Course on Approaches for Disaster Resilience” of the “Consortium for International Human Resource Development for Disaster-Resilient Countries (DRC)“, a distance learning program of Kyoto University’s Re-Inventing Japan University Project by Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan.

Kyoto University along with ASEAN Alliance Universities (Asian Institute of Technology, Chulalongkorn University, Kasetsart University, Institut Teknologi Bandung, University of Malaya, Vietnam National University) have made this Certificate Programme for Exchange Graduate Students on Disaster Risk Mitigation/Recovery/Reconstruction (Interdisciplinary Education Programme) for 5 Years: 2012-2017.

DPMM has been actively involved in this program. Three students (Ms. Pham Thi Hong, Ms. Atrida Hadianti and Ms. Veronique Morin) from DPMM attended the program in 2012, three (Ms. Pone Nyet Khaing, Mr. Wifandy Raymond T P Sidadolog and Mr. Md. Shahab Uddin) attended in 2013, two (Ms. Elaine Chong and Ms. Thanapa Pornprakit) attended in 2014, and three (Mr. Pongpaiboon Tularug, Mr. Junaid Ahmad and Kullanan Sukwanchai) are attending in 2015.

After they return to AIT, the students give open presentations in the campus to talk about their experiences and lessons learnt.
