Dear SERD Students,

As a new Dean to the School of Environment, Resources and Development, I would like to thank you for choosing SERD once again. AIT is a home-away-from-home and I am hoping that your study, research and life in AIT has been a rewarding experience.

Your patience, cooperation and efforts in this COVID-19 time have been an excellent hallmark.  I thank you all for that. Next few months are going to be little different than before in terms of Hybrid Teaching in the Smart Modified ClassRooms but we assure you that we are in the very good hands of our faculty colleagues and the technical team who are ensuring to make it successful. As the world is moving very dynamically, these modes of instructions and experiences would open up new opportunities for learning in this new era too.

I wish you very best for your upcoming courses, research and other learning and outreach activities. Together, let’s make AIT a vibrant place for intellectually stimulating experience and collective learning. Please reach out to your academic program secretariat, academic and research supervisors, Head of Department, your peers and other relevant units, as needed, to make your study and life at AIT productive and rewarding, and of course to the SERD Dean office. We are there for you.

I wish you very best and look forward to interacting with you.

Prof. Shobhakar Dhakal,

Dean, School of Environment, Resources and Development
