The School of Environment, Resources and Development is pleased to welcome Dr. Farhad Zulfiqar who has recently joined Agri-Business Management Academic Program, Department of Food, Agriculture and Bioresources/SERD as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Zulfiqar obtained his M.Sc. degree in Agricultural Economics from University of Agriculture Faisalabad, Pakistan. He also has M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Regional and Rural Development Planning from AIT. Before joining AIT, Dr. Zulfiqar was working as an Assistant Professor at COMSATS University Islamabad, Pakistan.

Dr. Zulfiqar has presented several invited international seminars in various countries including China, Finland, Nepal, Pakistan, the Netherlands, and Thailand. He has publications in highly reputed international journals, such as Sustainable Production and Consumption; Journal of Cleaner Production; Science of the Total Environment; Land Use Policy; Environment, Development and Sustainability; International Journal of the Commons; Sustainable Cities and Society; Natural Hazards; and Ecology of Food and Nutrition.

Dr. Zulfiqar’s scientific and professional interests are in the areas of: Sustainability in value chains, Innovations for sustainable development, Agricultural sustainability, Agriculture policy analysis, Community-based resource management, Agricultural marketing and trade, Agricultural development, Climate change, Food security, Agribusiness management.
