SERD alumna from Climate Change and Sustainable Development academic program, Ms. Analiza C. Diaz (2018-2020), was awarded The Best Paper Award for her graduate thesis study titled “Exploring Bamboo Farmers’ Willingness  to Adopt a Mobile App as a Marketing Strategy and Response to Covid-19: The Case of Maasin in Iloilo, Philippines” in the recently-concluded PAEDA 1st International Conference and 51st National Convention held on June 3-4, 2021 via Zoom Cloud Meeting.

PAEDA or the Philippine Agriculture and Economic Development Association joins national and global efforts of building resiliency through agriculture, aquatic, and natural resources (AANR) innovations in this time of pandemic and beyond. PAEDA 1st International Conference and 51st National Convention provided a venue where economic and development experts shared and exchanged views on pressing issues that impact the AANR sector and innovative ways towards greater resiliency for enhanced economic recovery and sustainability. This year’s conference focused on the following sub-themes: (a)innovations in food and fiber supply chains, (b) adaptation and resiliency solutions to disruptions, (c) market competitiveness and policy, (d)sustainability (environment and natural resources), and (e) relevant thesis and dissertation research of students.
